East-West International School recently shared an exciting event on their Facebook page, celebrating an action-packed House Day filled with various activities and games. This annual tradition brought together students from Early Years (EY) through Grade 12, uniting them in a spirit of teamwork, friendly competition, and school pride.

House Day Unites All Age Groups

This year marked the first time that EY and primary students were involved in House Day, making it a memorable experience for the youngest members of the East-West community. The day was filled with laughter, collaboration, and competition as students worked together to earn points for their respective houses.

Activities for Different Age Groups

For the EY students, the activities included creative and playful options like painting and a scavenger hunt. These fun exercises allowed younger students to be engaged in a friendly environment, encouraging them to bond with their peers and foster teamwork skills.

Primary students were no less active, participating in more physically challenging activities such as relays. Some of the most popular events included the rabbit hop race, bean bag relay, and a hula hoop contest. Teachers also joined in on the excitement, participating in races that kept everyone entertained and motivated.

A Series of Competitions and Events

The House Day festivities were part of a broader series of competitions known as the second annual House Games. These games kicked off with a music performance contest, followed by quiz day, and then moved on to a thrilling volleyball tournament. The competitions not only promoted athletic skills and teamwork but also enriched the students’ social experiences and school spirit.

Homecoming and Alumni Engagement

Adding to the excitement, today also marked Homecoming at East-West International School. Alumni returned to the “Thunderdome” to cheer on the High School Girls’ and Boys’ Volleyball teams as they faced off against their rivals from Logos. The presence of alumni added to the sense of unity and pride, bridging the gap between current students and former graduates.

East-West International School’s Facebook post highlighted the sense of community and enthusiasm that is integral to their educational philosophy. Through such dynamic events, students of all ages had the opportunity to connect, grow, and enjoy their time at school.
