On May 20th, PEPY Empowering Youth hosted a special Youth Leadership Talk that left a lasting impact on students. The event welcomed Mr. Thea Putsa, head manager of Koulen Central Mall and Hotel, as the guest speaker. His topic, “Building a Learning Culture in Our Organization,” explored the power of continuous learning in personal and professional growth.

Mr. Putsa shared how fostering a learning culture in the workplace leads to individual and collective success. He offered insights into how organizations can grow by investing in employee development and why learning should never stop—whether in a company or in everyday life.

Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom

Students gained more than just inspiration from Mr. Putsa’s talk—they gained a vision of what it means to be proactive learners and professionals. Through real-life stories and advice, Mr. Putsa showed students how a commitment to growth makes employees not only more capable but also more confident and resilient.

It was also a practical lesson in leadership. The talk helped students understand that being a great leader means staying curious, embracing change, and encouraging others to do the same. The idea that “strong learning cultures help everyone improve” resonated deeply with attendees.

Student Reflections: Motivated and Inspired

The event sparked thoughtful conversations and enthusiastic engagement. Many students said they were excited to share what they learned with their friends and family. One student, Sreyneang, reflected:

“This talk made me realize learning never stops, and I feel inspired to work harder and be a better leader.”

Such feedback highlights the value of connecting youth with real-world professionals who can model what success looks like—and how it’s built over time with dedication to continuous improvement.

Preparing for the Future with Purpose

Events like the Youth Leadership Talk align closely with PEPY’s mission to prepare students for meaningful futures. By exposing them to leaders like Mr. Putsa, students not only develop career awareness but also gain the motivation to pursue their goals with purpose.

PEPY extends its gratitude to Mr. Putsa for generously sharing his time and experience. His message left a powerful impression, and the students are now better equipped to turn what they’ve learned into action.
