The Rabbit School continues to lead Cambodia’s movement toward inclusive and accessible education. On October 3, 2025, the school proudly inaugurated its new meeting room, marking another important step in strengthening services for children with intellectual disabilities and autism. The ceremony was graced by H.E. Samedy Sivathana, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS Cambodia), whose presence underscored the importance of community partnerships in advancing education for all.

This milestone reflects The Rabbit School’s ongoing mission—to provide quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for every child, regardless of age, ability, or background.

Building Spaces That Empower Students and Educators

The new meeting room serves as a dedicated space for collaboration, planning, and teacher training, ensuring that educators at The Rabbit School have the resources they need to deliver individualized instruction and inclusive programs. The room will also host workshops, advocacy sessions, and community meetings to raise awareness about inclusive education and disability rights.

The inauguration event was attended by Ms. So Sothearom, Executive Director of The Rabbit School, along with teachers, students, and guests from Toul Kork Primary School. Their participation highlighted how inclusion is not just a goal—it is a shared responsibility across all levels of education.

A Message of Inclusion and Equality

During the ceremony, H.E. Samedy Sivathana emphasized the value of integrating sports and extracurricular activities for all students, including those with disabilities. He expressed joy in supporting a school that prioritizes equality and inclusion, encouraging society to recognize that every child has the right to education and participation.

His message reinforced a central belief of The Rabbit School: that inclusion is not an option, but a necessity. Through education, children with intellectual disabilities and autism can develop essential life skills, confidence, and independence—empowering them to thrive within their communities.

Gratitude and Continued Commitment

The Rabbit School expressed heartfelt gratitude to H.E. Samedy Sivathana and his family for their generous support in constructing the new meeting room. Their contribution is more than a physical addition—it symbolizes a shared vision for a future where all children are valued and supported in their learning journey.

This inauguration represents more than infrastructure—it stands as a testament to what collaboration and compassion can achieve. The Rabbit School’s dedication to inclusive education, combined with the Ministry’s continued support, ensures that children with intellectual disabilities and autism have access to quality education and equal opportunities in Cambodia.
