The students and staff of Northbridge International School Cambodia (NISC) recently participated in the AIA Pink Run, an event dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. Taking place this past Sunday, the event saw an inspiring turnout as participants took on the challenge of running 2.5km, 5km, and 10km routes—each stride representing both personal achievement and collective support for a meaningful cause.

NISC’s participation reflects the school’s deep commitment to community involvement and holistic education. Beyond academics, Northbridge students are encouraged to engage in activities that foster empathy, teamwork, and resilience—values that align perfectly with the spirit of the Pink Run.

Empowering Students Through Sports

For many of the students, the AIA Pink Run was more than just a sporting event—it was a chance to connect physical activity with social responsibility. Running alongside teachers and peers, they demonstrated strength, determination, and unity. These moments on the track build not only endurance but also confidence, collaboration, and leadership skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Northbridge International School Cambodia has long emphasized the importance of well-being and character education. Events like the Pink Run provide students with opportunities to apply these principles in real life—showing them that taking part in a community initiative can be both fun and purposeful. The school’s athletics program, combined with its inclusive extracurricular offerings, ensures that every student has the opportunity to explore their potential in both body and mind.

NAGAs Represent with Pride

The NAGAs, NISC’s proud team of secondary runners, made a strong impression during the Pink Run. With over 10 student runners participating, they showcased the school’s athletic spirit and team culture. Their enthusiasm and determination were evident from start to finish, making them excellent ambassadors for the school community.

The NAGAs’ participation also served as excellent preparation for the upcoming Cross Country Meets, highlighting how physical fitness events can nurture both competitive spirit and community connection. Whether running for medals or for a cause, the NISC team demonstrated what it truly means to embody sportsmanship and compassion.

Building Health, Awareness, and Compassion

Health and awareness go hand in hand, and NISC’s involvement in the AIA Pink Run beautifully captures that balance. By supporting breast cancer awareness, students learned firsthand how small actions—like joining a charity run—can have a positive social impact. The event also strengthened the bond between students, staff, and the wider Phnom Penh community, reflecting how education extends far beyond the school gates.

In today’s world, where young people face both physical and emotional challenges, promoting wellness through sports and advocacy is essential. Northbridge International School Cambodia continues to lead by example, showing how schools can play an active role in developing compassionate, health-conscious global citizens.
