BELTEI International School, one of Cambodia’s leading educational institutions, recently provided students with a unique and impactful learning experience. A group of students had the opportunity to visit a large-scale water treatment plant, gaining firsthand knowledge about sustainable water management and the environmental importance of clean water supply systems.
The visit was organized in collaboration with Kwater Technology Co., LTD and led by Mr. Kim Seong Chul, CEO of the company. The plant, which has the capacity to supply clean water to over 2,000,000 people, offered students an in-depth look at the complex processes involved in water purification and distribution.
Real-World Learning Beyond the Classroom
The educational field trip was designed to enhance students’ understanding of environmental science and sustainable technologies. Students were guided through every step of the water treatment process, from intake and filtration to chemical treatment and safe distribution.
By experiencing the operations of a fully functioning treatment facility, students connected classroom theory with real-world applications. They also learned about the critical role of water conservation and the challenges of ensuring safe and sustainable water supplies for large communities.
Inspiring Future Environmental Leaders
At BELTEI International School, the focus is not only on academic excellence but also on nurturing socially responsible citizens. The water treatment plant visit aligns with the school’s commitment to providing students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that inspire them to become informed advocates for environmental protection.
