PEPY Empowering Youth continues its mission of creating educational opportunities for youth and educators in Cambodia, and its latest initiative is nothing short of inspiring. Four Cambodian women educators from the PEPY organization—Sien Konnitha, Chan Solin, and two more colleagues—have been selected for an exciting international teaching exchange program in Ireland.

They will join Broombridge Educate Together National School for a cross-cultural learning and teaching experience, building global connections and advancing inclusive education practices.

Women in Education Leading Change

This program is a testament to PEPY’s strong commitment to empowering women through education and leadership development. Each selected educator represents not just her own aspirations, but also the collective ambition of young Cambodian women to step into global spaces with knowledge, skills, and confidence.

These exchanges help Cambodian educators gain firsthand exposure to modern classroom practices in Europe, particularly in inclusive and student-centered learning environments. Upon return, they bring back innovative methods to share with schools and communities in Cambodia.

Strengthening Global Partnerships in Education

The collaboration between PEPY and Broombridge Educate Together National School bridges education systems from Cambodia and Ireland, with the shared goal of creating learner-friendly, equitable, and participatory classroom settings. It’s an opportunity to build a dialogue between teaching cultures and adapt international best practices for local impact.

PEPY’s educators will participate in daily school activities, observe classroom routines, and engage with Irish educators to exchange ideas on curriculum development, student well-being, and educational equity.

Celebrating a Milestone for Cambodia

This opportunity is a huge honor and achievement for Cambodia’s education sector. It reflects a growing recognition of the strength and potential of Cambodian educators and community workers. More importantly, it inspires youth—especially girls—to pursue careers in education and strive for leadership roles in their communities.

PEPY’s ongoing support of staff professional development and its investment in long-term, sustainable change continues to make a deep impact across rural Cambodia, particularly in Siem Reap and surrounding areas.
